The American Legion Cemetery Corporation and "U.S.S. Tampa" Post 5 for over 100 years (since 1922) has observed Memorial Day in Tampa's only veterans cemetery.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the event to honor the memory of our country's service members.
The Memorial Day observance begins at 11:00 am.
The Memorial Service is organized by the American Legion Cemetery Corporation with the American Legion Post 5 Families.
104th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony to Honor Fallen Heroes in Tampa
Tampa, FL — The American Legion USS Tampa Post 5 will host its 104th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25 at 11:00 a.m. at its Post home, located at 3810 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL.
This long-standing tradition brings the community together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States. All branches of the military will be represented in this solemn tribute.
The community is invited to participate in flag placement beginning at 9:30 a.m., where volunteers will place American flags at the 734 gravestones in remembrance of fallen service members.
The ceremony will feature distinguished guest speakers, including:

Susan Valdes, State Representative
Attendees are also encouraged to show their support by bringing an American flag and participating in flag waving along Kennedy Boulevard throughout the morning.
For military organizations and groups wishing to take part in the Post Everlasting portion of the ceremony, remembrance wreaths may be included in the Roll Call. Participants should bring their wreaths to the registration table between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Memorial Day.
Parking Information:
Parking will be available south of Kennedy Boulevard on Roland Avenue, as well as at the closed CVS located at Kennedy Blvd. and Dale Mabry Highway.
Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to stay for a light lunch and fellowship.
